Police are appealing for witnesses or information after a man and his dog were bitten by another dog in Haverhill.
The incident occurred last Tuesday afternoon 13 October at approximately 2.30pm.
A man reported that he was walking his dog on Emperor’s Green, off Malin Close, when a Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type dog on a long, retractable lead approached his dog, bit its leg and would not release it.
The man shouted to its owner, a female, and whilst attempting to separate the animals was also bitten by the dog which punctured the skin.
The dog owner then left the location without providing details.
The man required a tetanus shot and antibiotics. His dog also required veterinary treatment.
